The Braidwood Colonial Motel, is a locally owned and run motel in beautiful Braidwood, NSW. The Young family, who have lived in Braidwood all their lives, purchased the 30 year old motel in 2011 and renovated all the rooms, bringing them up to date. We get many compliments from our guests, for our clean, tidy, and spacious rooms with super comfy beds. People are surprised by how quiet it can get at night, being on the main road, coming in to town.
I've been in Braidwood since 1965. My dad used to own a local bakery, so originally I’m a baker.
For over 30 years, travellers have been getting a good nights rest and enjoying some country hospitality in our motel. We have many return guests, which means we must be doing something right !
If you have to make a stopover around, stay to the Braidwood Colonial Motel! It's an amazing place really quiet and lovely! Bedrooms are perfectly clean, there is everything you'll need in the bathroom! Beautiful bedrooms and the beds are really comfortable!

Well positioned just off the main thoroughfare through Braidwood.
We found it to be very quiet, particularly given its location.
Comfortable and spacious room and bathroom. Good amenities.
Well appointed with microwave, kettle, and toaster.
Had a small delay checking I, as staff were occupied elsewhere with other tasks, but this was only a very minor inconvenience as it gave us an opportunity to sit, relax, and enjoy the country ambience.
This has to be one of the best motels we have ever stayed in. After an eight hour drive to walk in and find plenty of space and a cool environment was a breath of fresh air. The owner has stocked the room with extras never ever seen in a motel. As well as the usual bathroom bits were a sewing kit, a razor and face foam in a packet and toothbrush with toothpaste.

This motel is such a great find. Trish was very welcoming and accommodating when we arrived later than planned, which was most appreciated.
The rooms were spotless and had everything that was needed.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Colonial. Rooms very clean and well equipped, beds v comfortable. Trish an excellent host, and even drove us into town for a function. Would definitely stay here again.

The manager Trish is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size and super clean. The shower was hot and powerful! The bed was the best I have slept on for years, better than my own bed.
